Fragmenta

Fragmenta is a video slash documentary project by Amsterdam Alternative. We started in 2025 with the ambition to create short, inspiring videos that align with our vision and the topics we write about in our newspaper or discuss in our AA Talks. At the same time Fragmenta will be used as a project to unite engaged video makers and sound enigneers to enjoy the proces of creating and experimenting together.
We aim to release powerful, thought provoking, personal, engaging, beautiful and inspiring new videos on a regular basis . 

In a media landscape dominated by shallow content, fear, distrust, anger, violence and toxic polarization, Fragmenta will offer an alternative. We don't simply focus on problems or on generic or popular topics but rather connect to individuals and their stories. We seek passion, hope, optimism and inspiration in order to help create a better, more fair, equal and healthy world for the many and not the few.

Open Call 
We’re looking for filmmakers, editors, sound designers, and storytellers who share our belief that audiovisual media can be a force for connection and change. We don’t focus on trends, clicks, or business plans. We care mostly about passion and inner drives that help us build a new collective narrative based on the commons and shared responsibility. Fragmenta is not claiming or pretending to know best, or publish the one and only truth. 
We are after creating short videos that are personal, engaging, memorable and help imagine (and realize) a better world for all life on earth.

Video guidelines
-Video lenght: max 10 minutes.
-Non commercial. No promo videos for products, services or events.
-No religion promotion.
-No AI allowed. Only real video.
-We don’t go for quick ‘news’ but stories that last longer and are more in depth.
-Seeking inner drive and passion rather than financial motives or business plans.
-Focus on a specific topic. Not to general and don’t try to cover everything in one video.
-We are open to diverse voices and multiple perspectives.
-Videos don’t have to be an interview. It can also be a registration of a demonstration/event/activity or a poetic/abstract visual work. We are independent, so we don’t have to follow any normal media guidelines or rules.
-No limitations in film or editing style. Experiments are welcome. We want to enjoy the process of making and follow our creative energy.
-We always start and end a video with Fragmenta intro and outro.
-Typography in all videos follow the same fonts and styles guides. In order to create some unity.
-A video needs English subtitles if it isnt Dutch or English spoken.
-Good sound quality is important. 
-We will prefer to crate in 4k format, (3840 x 2160 px).
-All Fragmenta videos will be published on the Vimeo channel of Amsterdam Alternative, AA website and AA Youtube channel.
-Fragmenta has the right to give feedback and/or refuse videos to be published on our channel.
