Femke Smit is dutch, but she sings Brazilian music as if she was born there. It may have been a past life, or just a strange coincidence but when she sings Brazilian music she feels at home. Femke studied Jazz vocals at the conservatory of Amsterdam, where she met Breno.
Breno and Femke connected musically and have played together eversince. After her studies Femke went to Brazil for 3 months to soak up the Brazilian culture. She went to roda de sambas almost evening night and she fell in love with Samba. When she came back she missed Brazil so badly that she started her own project called Roda da Holanda together with Breno to bring the Brazilian roda to the Netherlands.
