Our City Our Voice! Amsterdam Palestina Referendum: Public Campaign Update and Workshop
Are you curious about the APR and where we are at? Do you want to know how you can help? Or do you have your own ideas about how to build a city that is against genocide?
We recognise that many people and organisations in Amsterdam are interested in collective action against Israel's genocidal and colonial settler activities in Palestine and beyond. Yet, often, the action feels too fragmented, or you may feel like you cannot make a difference. The Amsterdam Palestina Referendum is aimed at creating unity and putting pressure on the municipal government to cut ties with Israel and align the city of Amsterdam with BDS.
On May 24th, we invite all of you to join us for a campaign update, a workshop, and a moment to socialize and build community. The event will be a space for people, collectives, organisations, and parties to get to know each other, ask questions about the campaign and the negotiation process, share their thoughts on the municipality’s policies regarding Palestine, and get involved in the APR.
PROGRAM:
15:00 - 15:30 Social
15:30 - 16:30 Updates on the Campaign and Q&A
16:30 - 17:30 Workshop in smaller groups & plenary: what we bring to the struggle
17:30 - 18:00 Social
We hope many of you join so that we can move forward in the campaign with more and varied perspectives. We want to support any APR-related project you want to carry out or contribute to, and increase alignment in the fight for a genocide-free city!
