Sunday Table
Line up: Rachelle Traboulsi

Open: 12:30 - 15:00
Tickets: € 10-25 = suggested donation

Sunday Table is an intimate theater performance-lunch by Rachelle Traboulsi that dives into the themes of memory and loss.

Growing up in Lebanon, Sunday family lunches were moments of connection and sharing stories. Over the years, these gatherings disappeared, through migration, political instability, and the passing of loved ones. Now, living far from home, Rachelle seeks to rebuild these moments of care, to grieve what is lost, while inviting audiences to gather around a new table.

Through food, movement, and personal stories, Sunday Table reflects on how traditions evolve: what do we keep, what do we let go of, and how do we create rituals that sustain us in new environments? In times when change, disruption, and loss are certain, the work speaks of the necessity of transformation, and the role of community in shaping it.

You are invited to witness and to take part, sharing a table as we imagine how to organise for the future, honouring what was, while shaping what comes next.

This performance at Buurtwerkplaats Noorderhof is a first public presentation of my new work Sunday Table. It is the first time the piece is rehearsed and performed in this setting, where the space surroundings play an important role.

This project is supported by AFK and Tolhuistuin (meemaak podium). Special thanks to Buurtwerkplaats Noorderhof for offering their location for this first presentation of the work.
